Christmas 2005 we had the opportunity to minister to 150 inmates at Lifetech, a pardons and parole re-entry program for women coming out of Tutwiler State Prison. God placed it on our hearts to take plenty of Cds. During the invitation 55 ladies made a decision for Christ. At that point God inspired us to give away the CDs. As they came and got their CD most would ask me to sign them to their children, it broke my heart. Driving home God helped me realize that these Cds with the songs of hope, peace, joy and salvation through Jesus, are now going straight into a broken home. Mommas are in jail. In the days to come I received emails from children of those moms. One said her mom called her crying and told her that she received Christ that day. GLORYTO GOD. In 2006 I visited 8 different Prisons and re-entry facilities, some multiple times. Each time the response to the Gospel of Jesus was tremendous. Each time God provided materials to give away. December 17th & 24th myself and volunteers went to both Lifetech for Women and Men. We gave out Cds, Bibles and daily devotionals to more than 300 men and women. These materials became Christmas presents for the children of these men and women. Hundreds of families are being reached. We know that God is opening these doors and we will continue to be obedient to walk through them. Christmas eve day my wife Connie, daughter Marky and I went to Lifetech in Wetumpka, the womens facility. In addition to the Bibles, Devotions & Cds we took bags of toiletries for each of these ladies. People dont care what you know until they know that you care. We need your help. Most of all we need your prayers, then we need your support to make these trips possible and to cover the cost of the materials. Please pray that God will continue to move powerfully in the future as we press on and present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a relational way through giving and through song and word in these facilities. Thank you for your prayers and support. Keep praising Jesus and finish strong! |
